KEOSAUQUA - William M. BISHOP, 86, longtime resident of Van Buren County,died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua where he had been a patient the past eight weeks.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Keosauqua with the Rev. James M. Ford and the Rev. Millard Marshall officiating.
The body is at the Catcott Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established.
William M. BISHOP was born March 25, 1885, on a farm nothwest of Milton in Davis County. He was the son of Hamilton and Mary BORDER BISHOP.
His marriage to Anna ARNOLD took place Aug. 20, 1911, in Van Buren County. She died Dec. 13, 1947.
BISHOP farmed most of his lifei in Van Buren County, he was an amteur naturalist and woodworking was his hobby.
Survivors include three sons: Gordon and Ivan, both of Keosauqua, and Harold, Corydon; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn BRECKENRIDGE WALDREN,Keosauqua; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. May WARRINGTON, Estherville.
