Rebecca Cheney entered into rest at noon Sunday, November 5, 1905. She was born in Virginia, April 30, 1822. Was married to Nathan Cheney in 1850. To them were born three children. The husband and one daughter preceeded [sic] her to the great beyond several years ago. One daughter, Mrs. D. W. Cheney, of Douds, Ia., and one son, M. L. at the old home survive to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted mother.

The funeral occurred at the home at Burnside, Ill., Tuesday, at 2 p. m., conducted by Rev. Clark, after which the remains were laid to rest beside the husband and father in Pilot Grove cemetery.
