William Kerr.

William Kerr died at a hospital in Seattle, Washington, Saturday October 27, 1905, aged fifty-seven years. He had been at the hospital for two months and had undergone an operation a short time previous to his death. The remains were interred in a Seattle cemetery.

He was the second son of Wm. B. and Susan Kerr of Bonaparte and was born and reared here. He left Iowa in 1872 and went to Knob, California, thinking the climate would be beneficial to his lungs which were weak. He derived much benefit from the change of climate but never returned to visit boyhood scenes.

He has two brothers viz, Hiram of Bremerton, Washington, and John of Bonaparte, Iowa; and three half brothers, viz., Harve of Chicago, Frank of Leadville, Col., and Robert of Butte, Montana.

He was never married.
