Obituary of Seth Ruark

Seth William Ruark was born southwest of Farmington April 15, 1854 and passed away at his home in Keokuk, August 11th 1931, at the age of 77 yr. 3mo. 27 days. He was united in marriage to Amanda Mathias. To this union was born three sons and three daughters who with the widow survive.

They are Mrs. Retta Perkins of Farmington, Mrs. Bertha Watson of Fairfield, Mrs. Martha Wheeler of Chicago, Ill., Seth Wm. Jr., Albert and Melvin of Keokuk. There are three grand children and two sisters Mrs. Thos. Lowery and Mrs. Albert Bowles of Farmington, Iowa. He was a member of the Methodist Protestant church of Keokuk.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. V. Wright, pastor of the Baptist church, Thursday afternoon. Interment in the city cemetery.
