Kenneth D. Dille

Kenneth D. Dille, 75, of Birmingham died at 10:20 A.M. Saturday March 13, 2010, at Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield. He was born September 9, 1934, in Birmingham to Clyde and Gertrude Topping Dille. He married Bonnie Pruden July 17, 1955, in Birmingham Presbyterian Church. Kenneth graduated from Birmingham High School, worked at Dexter Co., Fairfield, for many years with his father in Birmingham Farmers Store and later at Falco and Rockwell International, Fairfield.

He was an elder in Birmingham Presbyterian Church, had been Birmingham Fire Chief and president of Birmingham Lions Club and was a member of Birmingham Development Association, Machinist Union and Jefferson County Credit Union Board. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Vicky Hyde (Dave) and Christa Meade (Terry) of Birmingham; two sons, Michael Dille (Laura) of Ottumwa and Tim Dille (Pam) of Fairfield and a sister-in-law, Nadine Dille of Fairfield. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Nicole Wycoff, Brad Meade, Chad McCarty, Tiffany McCabe, Derek and Joe Hyde, Derek and Melissa Dille, Hunter Gire, Tyler Overstreet and Jaidann Dille, a great grandson, Asa McCabe, a great-granddaughter, Samantha Wycoff, other relatives and many friends, He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Stephen Dille.

Kenneth's body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday March 17, 2010, in Birmingham Presbyterian Church, Larry Smith officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham. Visitation will begin at 4 P.M. Tuesday at the church, with the family present from 6-7:30 P.M. Memorials to Birmingham Presbyterian Church, Birmingham Fire Department, Birmingham Lions Club or a charity of the donor's choice may be brought to the church or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 77. Birmingham, IA 52535. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua is assisting with arrangements.
