ANNA SMITH ENDERSBY.
OBITUARY SKETCH.
Anna Mary Smith was born April 15, 1841, and was married to Arthur Endersby November 15, 1856.
To this union were born twelve children, ten boys and two girls. Four of the boys preceded mother to the other side, Robert dying in infancy, Vincent C., Leonidas, and David B. dying at the age of 19. David preceding his mother only a short time, dying April 1, 1903, in Canada where he and his mother had gone for his health.
Sister Endersby obeyed the gospel December, 1863, since which time she ever lived near her Lord and Divine Master. She was ever one of the kind to never grow weary or despondent. Her life seemed an open book known and read of all who knew her.
She lived a life of self sacrifice and self denial trying in her humble way to make all happy, so living as to make home a hallowed spot to husband and children thus making herself very dear to her loved ones.
Her whole life was full of sunshine. She was one of those to whom nothing could happen but what it might have been worse, yet with all her gentleness she lived so as to make her influence felt and in leaving us she leaves behind influences that will live long after she is gone, and truly it may be said of her "though dead yet living; living in the hearts and minds of all who knew her."
But her sould is now set free its prison house; is freed from temptation, tolls and dangers of this inconstant life and is basking in the sure light of God's eternal realm.
There she awaits to welcome home loved ones remaining on this side of the grave.
Funeral servies were held at the home Sunday with interrment in the Bales cemetery. A funeral procession a mile long testified to the high esteem in which she was held by her neighbors.
