Margaret HOOTMAN

BIRMINGHAM -- Margaret HOOTMAN, 95, died Feb. 22 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

She was born May 8, 1884 near Douds to George W. and Radella SAMPSON MORROW. On April 28, 1909, she married C. Earl HOOTMAN. He died in April 1957. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church and always lived near Douds until going to the nursing home.

Survivors: sons, Lester and Frank of Douds; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, George and Emmett of Riverside, Calif., and Lester MORROW of Ogallala, Neb.; and sisters, Lizzie PARSON of Gladbrook and Rowena HARRYMAN of Douds.

Services: Sunday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Church, the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating.

Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.

Visitation and arrangements: Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham.

A memorial had been established.
