DIED OF HEART TROUBLE
GEORGE PERKINS
John Brooks of Pierceville found George Perkins lying in a field south of Utica Thursday morning about 11 o'clock. Mr. Perkins head was in a pool of water and he seemed to have been dead for some time. He had been at the old Perkinds farm where his mother resides and was on his way to the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Warner, of Utica, where he and his family have been living since their return from Idaho a short time ago.
Mr. Perkins was subject to heart trouble and this is thought to have caused his death, his father having died in a similar manner. He leaves a wife and three children. Mrs. Perkins has also been in in poor health, the trip to Idaho being made for her benefit.
The funeral services were held at the Baptist church of Utica Saturday afternoon. Rev. Tibbets of Ft. Madison officiating. The services were largely attended by the many friends and relatives of the deceased who has spent most of his life in the vicinity of Utica.
A few years ago he was in the livery business in Keosauqua, but most of his life has been spent on the farm. he was forty years old.
