STOCKPORT --- Mrs. Nina NELSON, 73, was found dead at her home in Stockport at 8:45 a.m. today by her son, James JOHNSON. Her death was attributed to a heart attack.
Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Stockport Christian Church with burial in Spencer Cemetery. Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is in charge of the arrangements.
The daughter of Frank and Mary Etta SCARFF SWAILES, she was born Aug. 5, 1901, in Henry county. She married Dec. 22, 1920, to Carl JOHNSON at Mount Pleasant. He died in 1959.
Her marriage to Ralph NELSON took place Oct. 13, 1961. He was killed in an auto accident two weeks after their marriage.
Survivors include a son, James JOHNSON, Stockport; two daughters, Mrs. Lorrayne MADICK, Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Guy ROSS, Bonaparte; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; four brothers, George, Roy, Charles and Wilson SWAILES, all of Mount Pleasant; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond KRIEGER, Mount Pleasant, and Mrs. Blair GILBERT, Chicago.
