Services Held Saturday at
Carlisle Christian Church
For Mrs. Hutchinson, 103

The funeral of Mrs. Cynthia Hutchinson was held Saturday morning at ten o’clock at the Carlisle Christian Church and the body was taken to Cromwell, Iowa, for burial in the old family cemetery following the services. The pastor Rev. Wm. Hughes had charge of service.

Mrs. Hutchinson was a few months past the age of 103 years, and she passed away Thursday morning at the Foust Nursing Home in Des Moines. She had spent the past several years, first at the Black Nursing Home at Indianola and then at the Foust Home the past year. She was a former resident of Carlisle, after coming to this community from Cromwell several years ago.

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Theron Bierma, of Indianola, and Mrs. Bird McClintic, of Carlisle, and a son, Elmer Hutchinson of Cromwell, besides some grandchildren and other relatives. She was known to many friends as “Aunt Cynthia” for her kind, friendly and patient manner with which she always met her friends.
