Florus Woodin
Florus Woodin was born December 30, 1831 at Horington, Litchfield County, Connecticut, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. H. Williamson, northeast of Bonaparte, May 24, 1914, at 1 o’clock P.M., age eighty -two years four months and twenty-four days.
He was married September 26, 1861. To this union eight children were born, five girls and three boys. Those living are Mrs. Kate Williamson of Bonaparte; Mrs. May Keasling of Ft. Madison; James Woodin of Cantril, and Mrs. Mina Watts of Miami, Okla.
His wife and two daughters and two sons gone before. He leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. Cynthia Pollock, of Sterling, Kansas, and fifteen grandchildren.His home was near Cantril, but for the past two years he has been living with his daughter, Mrs. Williamson.
