Ira Bradford was born near Bonaparte, Iowa, November 2, 1845, and died at Colorado Springs, Colorado, March 12, 1901. He was married twice. Four children bless his first marriage, three of whom, with their mother, have passed to the great beyond. Funeral services were held at the family residence in Ottumwa, March 17, 1901. from there the remains were brought to Bonaparte and taken to the Preen cemetery for interment.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and two children, a brother, three sisters and a host of friends. While he will be sadly missed, we know his heart will never feel the pulse of pain, nor be pierced with this world's sorrows.

An escort of Ancient Order of United Workmen, of Ottumwa, to which deceased belonged, accompanied the remains to this place and acted as pallbearers at the funeral.
