M. T. Roberts Dies in Cantril
Merchant Leaves Wife, 3 Sons, Sister, 4 Brothers; Rites Held Sunday Afternoon

M.T. Roberts proprietor of the Clover Farm store in Cantril, died at his home shortly before midnight on April 9 after being critically ill only a few minutes. He had returned from his store a short time before his death, which is said to have resulted from a heart attack. He had been seriously ill a few months ago but apparently had made definite improvement.
Mr. Roberts, who was 62 years old, is survived by his wife; the former Miss Maude Stewart, to whom he was married March 13, 1904; three sons. Therman of Lance Creek, Wyo.; Rolland of Louisville, Ky., and Clair of Glendale, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Cassie Hoskin of Cedar Rapids, and four brothers Frank and Willis of Cantril, Roy of Bonaparte and Lester of Des Moines.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church in Cantril at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon by the pastor, the Rev. Jay Waterman. Singers were Mrs. J._ Hurwitz, Mrs. E.J. Hootman, Keith Gaston and B.C. Casady.
Burial was at the Cantril cemetery. The bearers were H.J. Casady, C.L. Creath, Paul Wilson, Grant May, Lloyd Smith and S.E. Wellborn.
