Obituary

HARLAN R. MORRIS

Harlan R. Morris, 81 years old, passed away August 16, 1967, after a brief illness, in Miami Beach, Florida.

He was born July 28, 1886, the son of Sherman Morris and the former Mattie C. Harlan, on the farm N.E. of Stockport.

After attending Drake University, Des Moines, and the University of Chicago; he was married to Rachel C. Henderson on February 23, 1912, in Chicago, where they lived for some years. Later they moved to New York City, and Miami Beach, Fla. In 1940 they returned to the family farm, and remained there until moving to Florida in 1964.

Survivors besides his widow, include one daughter Mrs. Marjorie C. Nelson, of near Keosauqua; one son, Robert of New York City, two grandsons, John Nelson of California, and James C. Nelson, U.S. Navy.

After brief services and cremation in Miami, Florida, there were graveside services held at Spencer Cemetery N.E. of Stockport
