Lewis T Jack Succumbs at 80
Mt. Sterling Resident Survived by Wife, 7 sons, 5 Daughters, Brother and Grandchildren
Lewis T. Jack died at his home in Mt. Sterling at 6 o’clock, Saturday evening after a long illness. He was 80 years old.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. James H Dill, of Keosauqua, Mrs. Zelda Thompson and Mrs. Cyrus Newbold of Centerville; Mrs. Albert Casady of Ft Madison, seven sons, D.W. Of Monroe, Merrill and Henry of Donnellson, Darrell of Hillsboro and Ren, Paul and Howard, of Mt. Sterling; a brother, William S Jack of Cantril, and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at the Methodist church in Mt. Sterling at 2 o’clock this afternoon in charge of the Rev. Jay Waterman of Cantril. Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gaston.
Burial was at the Harness cemetery near Mt. Sterling. The bearers were Leland Thompson, Robert Jack, Donald Casady, Kyle Brickey, Lowell Jack and Thayne Jack.
