D.C. McElroy

David McElroy was born March 26, 1852 at Salem, Henry county, Iowa and died at his late home in Milton March 25, 1929, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 28 days.

In 1872 he was married to Miss Serena Burlingame. To this union five children were born, all of whom are living: H.B. McElroy of Burlington; Ed of Roseville, Ill, Don of Richard, Mo., Mrs. John Humbert of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Mrs. G. L. Hill of Kansas City, Mo., besides 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Mr. McElroy has lived in Milton the past 42 years and had many friends here.

At the age of 37 years he united with the M.E. church at Round Grove under the ministry of Rev. St. Clair.

Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment in Milton Sunnyside cemetery.
