John Saar, 83. died at his home in Ontario, calif., Monday night following a months illlness. He suffered a stroke of paralysis July 4 and a second stroke July 10.
He was born and reared at Cantril and lived here untill 1920 when they moved to California.
Funeral services will be at Ontario at 11:30 Wednesday with burial at Forest Lawn cememtery at Glendale, Calif.
He married Stella Bennett who survives. Seven children also survive as follows: Dr. J.L. Saar of Donnellson, Ia, Mrs. Bernice Harbidge, Ontario, Calif., Mrs. R. B. McComb, Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Glen Harbidge, Ontario, Calif., Mrs. Robert Smythe, Ft. Dodge, Iowa, H.S. Saar, Cantril, Iowa, Mrs. R.B. Roudtree, Glendale Calif.
All of his children spet two weeks with him folloing the second stroke.
