H.W. Brewster Died Wednesday
Howard W. Brewster, of 965 Marine, retired building and floor sanding contractor, died Thursday in Mesa Vista Nursing Home.
He was born in Mt. Plesant, Iowa Sept. 25, 1887, to Hardin and Mary Francis Brewster, and moved to Boulder in 1917 from Mt. Sterling, Iowa. His first wife, Elizabeth died here in 1954, and in April of 1959 her married to the former Mrs. Edith Howland in Boulder.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Clarence Brewster of Jacksonville, Ill., a daughter, Mrs. (Margaret) Donaldson of Portland Ore. There are four stepsons and one step daughter: Alva W Howland, Boulder, Eugene and David Howland Billings, Mont., Harold Howland, Wichita, Kan., and Mrs Evelyn Van Brocklin, Boulder. There are five grandchidlren.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Howe Mortuary with Dr. Robert Oerter of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Memorial Park with graveside rites by IOOF Lodge No. 9.

Howard died February 22,1956 and was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, not Mt.Plesant. His mother's maiden name was Kingsbury. He was my great uncle.
