Byron Willard HERVEY, 80, passed away on December 21, 2010 at Ringgold County Hospital in Mt. Ayr, IA. He was born June 22, 1930 in Scotland County, Mo. to Willard and Opal WOLF HERVEY. He attended Keosauqua High School. He married Florencie EWING on March 30, 1948. They divorced in 1993. He married Marion SWANK in 1997.

Byron was a farm implement dealer for 46 years in Keosauqua. He was a member of the Keosauqua Fire Dept., Keosauqua City Council and a member of the Van Buren Flying Club. He is survived by his wife and children, Marshia (Bruce) MOSENA of Belle Vista, AK, Kathy (Francis) HORN of Fairfield, Randy (Susan MOSINSKI) of Keosauqua, and Kevin (Gayle) of Keosauqua and daughter-in-law Carol HERVEY of Birmingham, Iowa. He had 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-children Shirley (David) HIGHTSHOE of Mt. Ayr, Steve (Sue) SWANK of Maloy, Kenneth (Jeanne) SWANK of Monett, Mo and 4 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, sister Valara FERRIS, and son Steve.

The body has been cremated and a celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date with interment at Center Chapel Cemetery in rural Keosauqua. A memorial has been established in Byron's name to Center Chapel Cemetery and can be sent to Kathy HORN, 504 E. Washington Ave. Fairfield, IA 52556.
