DAVENPORT — Margaret A. Cassatt, age 100, of Davenport, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Services in celebration of her long life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport, with Pastor C. H. Meyer officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport, of which she was a lifelong member, or to the Clarissa C. Cook Home, West First and Pine.

Mrs. Cassatt was born in 1910 in Van Buren County, Iowa, to Daniel and Emma Hull. She married Joe Cassatt on December 13, 1930, in Douds, Iowa. He died in 1975. For 43 years, she served as administrator of the Clarissa C. Cook Home, West First Street and Pine Street, Davenport. She enjoyed time spent with her family, playing cards and watching the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. She was also a longtime blood donor until 2002.

Survivors include her daughter, Lana (Dennis) Koch of Mesquite, Texas; sons, Joe F. Sr. (Marilyn) of Davenport, and Robert E. Sr. of Bettendorf; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Lola Dittmer of Davenport. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Cassatt, sisters, Bernice Garman, Irene Camp and Vada Clark; infant twin sisters; and brothers, Louis and N.C. Hull.
