Nelton L. McCarty

Nelton L. McCarty, son of James and Mary Belle Allen McCarty, was born May 29, 1911, at Williamstown, Mo, and departed this life Wednesday, March 23, 1977, in Fairfield at the age of 65.

His early life was spent in Missouri, and he lived a number of years in Santa Ana, California, where he was employed at the Orange County Hospital. Following his retirement in 1973 he moved to Iowa, and had resided with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. E. I. McCarty of rural Selma.

His wife, Esther, preceded him in death in 1968.

Remaining to cherish his memory are a daughter, Mrs. Suzanna Greeson and son-in-law, Jerry Greeson of Libertyville, two granddaughters, Lori and Denise, two brothers, Earl of Memphis, Mo and E. I. of Selma, a sister, Mrs. Hallie Bates of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a number of other relatives.
