Mrs. Morrison Taken in Death

Birmingham, Ia.- Mrs. Myrtle Morrison, 86, died Monday afternoon at University Hospitals in Iowa City after being a patient for two days.

Funeral services will be held at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham on Thursday, March 11 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ora Reep in charge. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.

Mrs. Morrison was born on July 10, 1878 near Birmingham, the daughter of Willis B. and Sarah Reneker Knox. She married Johathan (Hack) Kimmel on July 30, 1902. He died Feb. 1, 1931.

She later married Clarence Morrison who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Florence Anderson of Keosauqua and Ethel Ladue of Salem, Ore. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Methodist Church.

[Jonathan (Hack) Kimmel was brother to my great grandfather, John Henry Kimmel-- yes, their parents named 2 sons John and Jonathon, hence, the nickname "Hack"]
