DIED

MILLER: At the family residence in Harrisburg township, on Tuesday morning sept. 23, Mrs. Alvira Miller wife of James W. Miller, aged 41 years, 2 months and 22 days.

Mrs. Miller was the third daughter of Rbert and Mary Ann Meek, and was born July 1, 1843. On Agust 21, 1870 she was united in marriage to James W.Miller, who with two children, both boys, are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and affectionate mother.

Deceased was taken with inflamatory rheumatism about eight years ago, and from that time till her death has been troubled with that disease, with occasional well intervals, but for a long time prior to her death she had been confined to her bed, and her demise was not unlooked for.

The funeral took place for the Baptist church at this place (of which deceased had long been a consistent member) Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Chas. Custer assisted by Rev. Hennigh officiating and after the services the remains were followed to their last resting place by a large following of sympathizing friends and neighbors.
