THE LIFE STORY OF ANNA SHEETS LINN

Anna Sheets Linn, daughter of Frank and Harriett (Hurst) Sheets, was born Nov. 2, 1879 near Keosauqua and passed away at the Davis Nursing Home in Keosauqua on Aug. 7, 1960 at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 5 days. She had been in ill health for some time and a patient at the Nursing home for four months.

She had spent all of her life in the Keosauqua and Mt. Sterling communities, where she likewise
had her early schooling. She was a member of the Mt. Sterling Methodist church, which she attended faithfully as long as her health permitted.

On October 11, 1899, she was united in marriage to Herman Linn near Keosauqua. To this union was born a daughter who died in infancy. They farmed in Van Buren county until retirement in Mt. Sterling 14 years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Henry Sheets of Mt. Sterling and Elzie Sheets of Milton; two sisters, Ruie Eberhardt of Spokane, Wash. and Etta (should be Emily)who died in infancy; her infant daughter, and her husband who died in March 1958.

Surviving are two brothers, Charles Sheets of Keosauqua and Harlan Sheets of St. Joseph, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Wayne Myers of Albany, Ore.; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Mt. Sterling Methodist church on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Harryman of Milton officiating. Interment was in Harness Cemetery in Mt. Sterlng.
