KEOSAUQUA - John Wallace, 67, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital. He had been ill several years and hospitalized since Monday.
Born near Keosauqua June 27, 1896, he was the son of Robert and Minnie Huffman Wallace. He was married to Minnie Nichols, who died, and later married her sister, Myrtle Nichols, who survives.
He was a veteran of World War I and member of the Keosauqua American Legion Post.
Survivors besides his widow include three daughters, Mrs. Walter Swailes of Elmhurst, Ill.; Mrs. Yvonne Vander Heiden of Ames and Mrs. Robert Jack of Lake View; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral wlll be Friday at 2 p.m. at Burnett-Catcott, Funeral Home with the Rev. E. S. Tschetter officiating. Burial will be in Purdom Cemetery.
