MRS. WILLIAM CASADY

Mary Elizabeth Harbin, daughter of Squire and Susan Harbin, was born April 26, 1849, in Van Buren county, Iowa, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Wagner of Memphis, Missouri, November 16, 1929, aged 80 years, 6 months and 21 days.

On March 27, 1867, she was united in marriage to Wm. C. Casady, who preceded her in death December 31, 1921. To this union two children were born, F. E. Casady of Cantril, Iowa; and Mrs. Nellie Ann Wagner of Memphis, Missouri.

She was converted in early life and became a charter member of the Cantril Christian church. After her removal to Milton she united with the Milton Christian church and was loyal to her Lord and her church untill [sic] death.

She leaves to mourn her departure, two children: F. E. Casady of Cantril and Mrs. Nellie Ann Wagner of Memphis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Warner Casady of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Burl Casady of Ottumwa; Iowa Craig Casady of Cantril and George Wagner of Memphis, Mo.; three great grandchildren; three [sic-only two listed] sisters: Mrs. Mat Fowler of Argalia, Kansas; Mrs. Rufus Wilson of Milton; and one brother, Alvin Harbin of Los Angeles, Calif. Two sisters, Mrs. George Gaston of Ft. Madison, Iowa, and Mrs. W. A. Wilson of Cantril, preceded her in death.

She was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and a true friend and her passing will be mourned by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held at the Milton Christian church, Monday afternoon, November 18th, at 2 o'clock Rev. Herbert C. Shaw, of Cantril, officiating, assisted by a quartette composed by Mrs. Marshall, Mrs. Atkins, Oliver Leaverton and D. A. Miller, with Mrs. D. A. Miller at the piano. The members of the Sunday School class, the Loyal Women, attended the services in a body. Burial in the Cantril cemetery.
