SCOTLAND COUNTY RESIDENT, 49, LEAVES WIFE, SON AND TWO DAUGHTERS

Funeral services for John F. Roberts of Scotland county, Missouri, were conducted by the Rev. A. M. Hadley of Cantril at the Brock church Friday afternoon. At the grave at the Brock cemetery the Masons assisted with the services.

Mr. Roberts, who was 49 years old, was born in Fulton county, Illinois. When 6 years old he came with his parents to Scotland county, Missouri, and spent the remainder of his life there. He died in the Ottumwa hospital June 24.

He was married to Mrs. Effie Southmayd in 1909 and to the union were born four children. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife; three children, Lucille and Ernest at home and Mrs. Ted Robinson of Brock; two grandchildren, Bobby and Vera Eulene Robinson; one brother living at Byrant, Ill.; two half-brothers and five halfsisters [sic].
