OBITUARY OF MRS. McCLURG

Mrs. C. McClurg was born at Keosauqua, Io., June 13, 1874, and departed this life Thursday, Sept. 17, 1925, at 7:50 a. m. Dec. 17, 1898, she was united in marriage to Dr. Curtis Clurg [sic]. Three children were born: Dr. Ernest C. McClurg, Paul Norris McClurg, who died at the age of 4, and Luzon D. McClurg. Several years ago a sister of Mrs. McClurg died, leaving children, and Mrs. McClurg mothered these children. They are Mrs. Paul Hoskin of Milton, Io., and Mrs. Gail Huddleston, of Moulton, Io.

Mrs. McClurg was a member of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine and the Pythian Sisters. In early life she united with the Christian church, and then later on with her husband she united with the Presbyterian church of Milton, Iowa. Now she has gone to join the church triumphant.

Besides her husband and two children, Mrs. McClurg leaves a mother and a sister, Mrs. Hal Regur of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church, of Milton, conducted by Rev. U. G. Evans, assisted by Rev. Gilbert. Burial in Purdom cemetery at Keosauqua.

NOTE: Believe this to be Gertie Norris, d/o John & Cordelia Norris. I believe the sister that died was Mary Norris (1869-1906) who married William Morris McIntosh. Another sister Della married Hal Regur. Brother Van Buren Norris married Lena Bell. Obituary for son Paul Norris McClurg and brother Robert Norris found elsewhere on this forum. I am looking for more information on this family, please contact me.
