IRA L. BOERSTLER

Ira L., son of Daniel and Lavina Boerstler was born July 12, 1866, in Van Buren Co., Iowa, near Pierceville, and died September 10, 1930, in Los Angeles, California, age 64 years, 1 months and 28 days.

He was united in marriage to Olive Florence Patterson, August 23, 1888. To this union was born three children Bessie Mary, Love [sic] Lavina and Phyllis Marie.

He was a resident of Van Buren county, Iowa, near Pierceville and Milton al his life with the exception of the last four years in Monrovia, California.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Olive F.; three daughters, Bessie M. Hall, Monrovia, Calif.; Dove [sic] L. Tatman, Arcadia, Calif.; and Phyllis Boerstler, Monrovia, Calif.; two grandchildren, Gerald B. Hall and Dorothy Jean Tatman; one brother, Charles H. Boerstler, Freewater, Oregon; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Rehkopf and Mrs. Lena Anson of Monrovia, Calif.; Mrs. Florence Massey, Glendale, Calif.; and Mrs. Mary Henry, Creston, Iowa.

His father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Rose Work, Cantril; and Mrs. Anna Nixon, Winfield, Kansas, and one grandson, Dee Wm. Tatman, Memphis, Mo., having preceded him in death.

He was an employee of the Los Angeles County Road Dept. and a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge of Monrovia, Calif.

Funeral services were held Sept. 13, 1930, at 3 p. m., from the Chapel of W. B. Temple, Dr. Fletcher G. Watson, officiating. Interment in charge of the Knights of Pythias lodge of Monrovia was made in the Live Oak cemetery, Monrovia.
