MICHAEL L. MOORE

M. L. Moore of Troy died at his home near that place Monday of last week, the funeral being held on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Fletcher of Pulaski. Interment was made in Troy cemetery.

Mr. Moore has been a life time resident of Troy and vicinity, owning a large farm east of that place. He has been in failing health for more than a year, and took suddenly worse almost a week or more ago.

Following is the obituary of Mr. Moore:

Michael L. Moore, son of Michael and Abigail Moore, born April 30, 1863, and departed this life Feb. 20, 1928; aged 64 years, 9 months and 20 days.

He was the youngest of ten children: Jacob, Irving, John Henry, Harvey, Mary, twins Angeline and Emeline, Sarah, Ettie and Michael. Born on the home farm near Troy, he made it his home until eight years ago when he moved to Troy.

He was married Jan. 30, 1895, to Mattie A. Keeler. To this union were born two children. The first child died at birth, July 4, 1896; and the other is Willa Marie born July 15, 1909.

His sister, Emeline made her home with him since 1921.

Michael was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge.

He leaves to mourn his loss a wife; one daughter, Willa Marie; three sisters, Mary Sharpnack, Ohio; Emeline Moore of Troy; Sarah Pettit of Milton, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church in Troy on Wednesay afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. H. H. Fletcher, assisted by Rev. Wm. Slosser of Milton. Burial was made in Troy cemetery with Troy Lodge of Odd Fellows in charge of services at the grave. The pall bearers were Joe Barker, Harry Barker, Elmer Chaplin, Willis Loar, Geo. Roberts and Sherm. Bacus.
