Glen Gloyd Miller, age 86 years, 8 months and 12 days passed away at the Van Buren County Hospital Friday, Sept.16, 1977 after a three weeks illness. He was born on Dec. 24, 1890 to William and Josdephine Kincart Miller at Stiles,Iowa. He was a retired farmer and had spent most of his life in the Milton area. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to alll of the local churches, his neighbors and friends. Six years ago he left Milton to enter the Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua. There again he won many friends by helping out at the nursing home and helping other patients.
He is survivied by one sister, Beulah Dill of Weaver; a nephew, Deo Blott of Pittsburg, Pa; two neices, Helen Freesmier of Ft. Madison and Pauline Hitch of Weaver, Iowaa and many friends. Funeral services were held Sept. 18, 1977 in the Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton, the Rev. Charles Fudenski of the Keosauqua Christian Church officiating. Gloria Weirbach was the organist. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.
