Obituary Sketch
Hugh H. Myers, son of Lewis and Mary Myers was born Jan. 10 1856, in Van Buren County near Bonaparte and died Thursday August 28, 1902, at 9:15 P.M. at Farmington, Iowa.
He was married to Mrs. Valley Fritsinger and leaves to mourn their loss, a son, Harley Rex, a daughter Bessie, two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Myers for many years lived in or near Bonaparte and is well known here. For several months he had been seriously ill at his home south of Bonaparte but considered himself almost recovered and removed with his family to Farmington where he died two weeks afterward.
The funeral services were held Saturday at 10 A.M. from the home, Rev. Hatton officiating and the remains were interred in the cemetery west of Farmington.
Mr. Myers was 46 years, 7 months and 18 days of age at the time of his decease.
Note; Hugh Myers was the son of Lewis and Mary Cackley Myers, and was my great uncle.
