Alva Myers

Alva Myers, son of Lewis and Mary Ann Cackley Myers was born near Bonaparte, Nov 26, 1860 and passed away at his home two miles south of Bonaparte, May 5, 1948 at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 9 days.

He was married to Ada White Feb. 4, 1886 and on Feb 4, 1836 they were privileged to celebrate their golden wedding. To this union were born two daughters, Willa and Trilla.

His health has been failing for the past five yers and for the last fourteen months he has been confined to his bed.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Aug. 29, 1938; by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

He leaves to mourn their loss two daughters, Willa Moore Martin of Bonaparte, Trilla Cass, who with her two sons, have made their home with him for the past nineteen years, three grandsons, Joe Moore, John and Alva Cass and one granddaughter, Josephine Martin.

He will be sadly missed by the daughters and grandchildren and by his many friends.

Note: Alva Myers was my great grandfather.
