Floyd FERREL rite Sunday

BONAPARTE - Floyd W. FERREL, 84, Bonaparte, died Thursday morning, Nov. 24, 1988, at Veterans Medical Center in Knoxville.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert DODDS officiating. Burial will be Monday in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Memorials have been established to the Iowa Heart Association and the Bonaparte Library.

FERREL was born Feb. 20, 1904, in Libertyville, the son of James C. and Anna MALLAMS FERREL. He was a farmer and factory worker and had lived in Bonaparte the last 17 years. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post 47 in Fairfield.

Surviving are seven daughters, Evon BROBSTON, Eleanor HOOTMAN, both of Burlington, Ethel BISHOP of Ottumwa, Ederyle ORTERY of Kirkwood, Ill., Audrey BROWN of Bonaparte, Louise FERREL of Estherville, Lorraine VINGER of Rockford, Ill; three sons, Donald of Waveland, Ark., Eugene of Paducah, Ky., Floyd Jay of Davenport; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Erma STUMP of Loveland, Colo., Elsa CRAWFORD, Elaine BONNETT, both of Fairfield and a brother, Robert of Mesa, Ariz.

A son, James, five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
