Harvey Smith,74, of Farmington, died Dec. 13, in the Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. The son of Louis and Matilda Parker Smith, he was born March 11,1907 at Moravia, Iowa. He married Myrtle Bice on Feb. 28,1927 at Mt. Pleasant and she survives. A resident of Farmington for 41 years, he was a carpenter. In addition to his widow he is survived by two sons, Howard of Farmington and Herman of Arygle; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Martha) Counts of Farmington; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Berniece) Carver of Mt. Pleasant; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, one grandson, four brothers and one sister. The funeral was held December 15 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.
