Mrs. Jane Moreland Died at Son's Home - She was Eighty-six years old and a Native of Pennsylvania - Funeral Tuesday

Mrs. Nancy Jane (Cochrane) Moreland, age 86, died at the home of her son, Edgar C. Moreland, Sunday morning. Mrs. Moreland was a native of Pennsylvania, born to Moses and Lucinda [Cook] Cochrane, September 17, 1843. She came to the vacinity of Farmington in early girlhood, and was married to James Moreland in 1867. Her husband died in 1903, since which time, Mrs. Moreland made her home with her children, the past seven years with her son Edgar.

She was a member of the Farmington M.E. church. She was the last member of her father's family. Her survivors are four sons and three daughters, W.J. Moreland of Burlington, Charles A. of San Antonio, Texas, James R. and Edgar C. of Farmington, Mrs. F.L. Dill of Waterloo, Iowa, and Mrs. E.B. Hemann of Wheeling, West Virginia.

Funeral services were held at the M.E. church, in charge of Rev. W.M. Doughty, Tuesday afternoon with interment at the Greenglade Cemetery.

[NOTE: not listed in the transcription of obituary was another daughter, Mrs. W.A. Martin.]
