Hazel Mae Stnaford, age 92, of Memphios, Missouri and a former resident of Milton died March 23, 2002 at the Scotland Couinty Care Center in Memphis. She was born April 8, 1909 in Van Buren County, Iowa to Joseph and Flora Brumley Harman. She married Clyde Bickel. She married Floyd Stnaford Sept 14, 1957 in Milton. He died in 1987. She lived in Van Buren County most of her life and was a homemaker and farmer's wife. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Milton, the Go and Chatter Club and was a 4-H leader for several years.
She is survivied by a son, Claude Bickel of West Burlington; two daughters, Crystal Foster of St. Charles, Missouri and Geraldine Rossi of Memphis, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Irenen Pender; a grandson, Curtis Pender; a great-grandson, Shawn Sample and two great-grandddaughters, Jacqulyn Garrett and Evelyn Pender. Funeral services were Wed. March 27, 2002, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Milton with Revs. ellis andrews and Raymond Doser officiating. Burial will be in South Prarie Chapel Cemetery south of Milton.
Casket bearers were Terry and Alan Andrews, Mike and Wade Pender, James and Gene Bickel and Richard and Chuck Enlow. Honorary bearers were Chadlin Andrews, Lane and David Pender and Shannon Sample.
