Henry B. Grages is dead. This word we did not receive last week until after we were at press. For many years he resided near Keosauqua, which was his postoffice, until he moved to Pulaski, Davis county, three or four years ago. He died February 28, at the last named place, aged 58 years, 9 months, and 28 days, and was taken to the German cemetery near Farmington for burial, Rev. G. W. Barber conducting the funeral services. He was born in Germany and came to the United States when a boy and settled in this county. He served during the war in Co. G, Third Iowa Cavelry. His first wife's maiden name was Elizabeth Harris, and to them ten children were born. He married Ann E. Roby in 1894 at Pulaski, where he afterwards lived until he died of cancer with which he had been afflicted for several years. No children were born to them.
