Death of John Woodward

John Woodward, for many years a quiet, respected citizen of the county, was born in Uniontown, Pa, July 24,1836, and died at his home in Keosauqua, Ia, April 13,1917, aged 80 years. 8 months and 19 days. At Hannibal, Mo, he was married Sept. 15,1876, to Miss Fannie Gilland. to them were born three children, Allen, Lily, and May. On Dec. 23,1907, he was married to Mrs. Emma Miller. They made their home at Pittsburg, until a few months ago when they moved to Keosauqua. Mr. Woodward was a Civil War soldier, being a member of the 85th Pennsylvania Infantry. The funeral was held in the Keosauqua Christian Church on Sunday. Burial was in Purdom Cemetery.
