Splendid Tribute to Her Life By Her Eldest Son--
The FuneralChristina Magdalena Kemmler was born in Germany, near Reitling, on July 4, 1824, and died March 1, 1915, aged 90 years, 7 months, 27 days. She came to America in 1852, and was married to John George Muntz in 1853.
To this union were born seven children: four sons and three daughters, one son and one daughter, with her husband, having passed to the great beyond several years ago.
She leaves to mourn their loss three sons and two daughters, which are: Jacob, John, and Fred, all living near the old home; Mrs. Anna Amende of Sand Point, Idaho, and Mrs. Kate Ludwig of Wenatchee, Wash.; also thirty-five grandchildren and four-teen great grandchildren.
In her early life she was converted and united with the German Methodist Church, and her oldest son wishes to testify that ever since he can remember up till the time the afflictions of old age pressed upon her, she always lived a consistent christian life, and loved to give and do all the good that lay in her power.
Her funeral took place from the home of her son John Muntz, near Flat Rock, on Wednesday March 3, 1915. Rev. M.C.Alexander had charge of the services. Interment in Steinmeyer cemetery.
