Mary Hannah, daughter of Charles and Phoebe Fisher, was born Dec.7,1879, in Van Buren county,Iowa, and departed this life Jan. 3,1927, at Ottumwa,Ia, at the age of 47 years and 26 days, where she succumbed to an operation performed two days before. On May 11,1899 she was united in marriage to Charles E. Black. To this union three sons and three daughters were born; Janet, Florence Carlson, Ross, Helen, Robert ,Edgar. There is also one granddaughter,Hazel Marie Carlson. All remain with the husband to mourn the departure of this beloved wife and mother, together with her two sisters and four brothers. Her parents have preceded her in death. The funeral service was conducted at her home on Jna. 4,1927. Interment was in the Milton cemetery.
