A. G. Troutman

Albert Gallatin Troutman was born in Bonaparte, Iowa, June 26, 1867, and died at his home in Troy, Iowa, Jan. 15, 1911 aged 43 years 6 months and 19 days. He was married Nov. 11, 1891, to Miss Luella McCabe and to them was born one son Lev Troutman. He leaves to sincerely mourn his loss besides these two, wife and son, an aged mother, Mrs. C. A. Troutman of Bonaparte, a brother, Scott Troutman and sister, Mrs. Jack Morris, all of Bonaparte. Mr. Troutman united with the Presbyterian church of Troy in the winter 1895 under the pastorate of the Rev. Pliny Smith, to which church he remained a faithful and loyal member until he was called to the church up higher. For several years he has been in very poor health but was a patient uncomplaining sufferer. As long as health permitted he was a regular attendant at all church services. He was church trustee for several years and filled well the office. He was teacher in Sunday school of the boys class numbering 15 or twenty, for years and the attendance and interest were never better than during that time. Mr. Troutman seemed to have a talent for making warm friends of acquaintances and once his friend always a friend. His many endearing qualities of mind and disposition make it easy to say of him as you will hear many of his friends say "I always though a great deal of Albert." He will be greatly missed by his immediate relatives and far beyond the family circles.
