Allen A. Drummond,67, a resident of Mt. Sterling for the last 45 years, died at his home Tuesday, Nov. 29, after a short illness. Born In Scotland Co.Mo., June 28,1888, the son of H.R. and Mary Billups Drummond. He was married to the former Melissa Jones of Mt. Sterling. Surviving are his wife, a son, Victor of Bloomfield Hills, Mich; a step-daughter, Mrs. Juantia Hoffman of Vallejo, Calif; and four grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters also survive, Arthur of Memphis, Mo, Dover, of Keokuk, Cecil of Detroit, Miss Virginia Drummond of San Francisco and Mrs. Myrtle Still of Fairfield. Services were held Dec. 2 in the Mt. Sterling Methodist Church and burial was in the Harness Cemetery.
