Clarence E. Ewing, son of William J. and Nancy Rupe Ewing was born near Mt. Zion, Ia on April 13,1897 and passed away at his home in Pittsburg July 28,1965. He was a retired farmer, having spent his lifetime as a resident of Van Buren County. He was married Nov. 20,1921 to Mildred Rolison of Douds, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Orr, Keosauqua and Mrs. Hubert Jones of Fairfield, and one son Merle L. of Fairfield. Three brothers, Ben of Birmingham, Emmett of Bonaparte, and Martin of Garden City, Ks and one sister Miss Iva Ewing of Stockport also survive as do twelve grandchildren. He was a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
