Mrs. Helen Mabel Shobe,76. died Sept.12, at the Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua after an extended illness. Born Jan.4,1886, on a farm north of Cantril, she was the daughter of John Winfield and Elizabeth Weiss Kritzman. She was married Feb. 4,1914, to George Edward Shobe, who survives. All but five years of her married life was spent on the farm northwest of Milton. Survivors besides the widower include two daughters, Mrs. Dwight Henkle and Mrs. Fred Blount of Ottumwa, and a son, Robert Edward of Milton; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Loomis and Miss Hannah Kritzman both of Milton; one brother, Wallace Kritzman of Ottumwa, and four granddaughters. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma and Edith and a brother, Elmer. The funeral was held Sept.14, at the Troy Methodist Church. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
