Elery O. Boyer, age 78, of 6427 Harrison Ave., Hammond, passed away Thursday, March 6, after a lingering illness. Survivors: Wife, Ada [nee Brown]: two sons, Orban [Bud] of Chicago, Gerald [Jerry] of Dyer; two daughters, Mrs. Murial Davisson and Mrs. Kathleen [Clifford] Lauerman both of Hammond; one brother, Everett of Iowa; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
Mr. Boyer was a retired tool and die designer at Jr. Toy Company, he was a former member of the Eagles Club, resident of Hammond for the past 53 years.
Burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, Indiana. [Lake County]

Elery was born in Farmington, Van Buren County. Son of Noah Boyer and Mary E. Folker. He married Ada Belle Brown in 1908 in Van Buren County. They relocated to Hammond, Indiana in 1916.
