The services for Elza E. Loeffler,68, of rural Birmingham who died Monday morning at Van Buren Co. Hospital, will be Thurdsay, at the Zion Bible Church, east of Douds. Interment will be in Kilbourne Cemetery, The son of Voyl and Mabel Eschelman Loeffler, he was born May 2,1907, near Trenton. he graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1927, where he was active in athletics. On April 20,1932, he married Isabel Ewing at Lancaster, Mo. They lived in Mt. Zion and for the past 34 years at their present farm southwest of Birmingham. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Norma Ramsey of Keosauqua and Janet Smith of Birmingham; a son Gary of Keosauqua and six grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Issac, Darrell, and Hollis all of Keosauqua and a sister, Mrs. Florence Coon of Ottumwa.
