Clara Elizabeth Kritzman, daughter of John Winfield and Elizabeth Weiss Kritzman was born Sept. 15,1897, near Lebanon in Van Buren county Iowa. She passed away the the Van Buren Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua on Dec. 5,1981 at the age of 84 years. In September 1945, she was united in marriage to Max Loomis in Ottumwa. He passed away in 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Wallace and Elmer and four sisters, Hannah, Mabel, Alma, and Edith. Surviving are a nephew Robert Shobe of Milton; six nieces Elizabeth Blount and Helen Hoyt of Ottumwa, Margaret Kritzman of Upland,Ca, Lois Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Shirley Schwartz of Ottumwa, and Mary Sue Salmon of Moline,Il; several great nieces and great great nephews. Funeral services were held Monday Dec. 7th at the Lebanon Methodist Church. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery.
