R. A. Workman, Sr Dies at Stockport, Last Rites Monday

R.A.(Dick) Workman, Sr, lifelong resident of the Stockport area, died Thursday night, June 16, 1955, at his home. He had been seriously ill for two months,.
Last rites will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Stockport Christian church. The Rev. Chester C. Werft is in charge of the services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. The Workman Masonic Lodge of Stockport will be in charge of the graveside services.
Workman was born southwest of Stockport Oct. 12, 1874, the son of Oliver Perry and Rachael Harper Workman. He was married to Emma Brewer July 6, 1902 at Glasgow, Iowa.
Workman was a member of the Workman Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Dale Workman and R.A Workman, both of Stockport. Three grandchildren also survive. One brother, Eugene G. Workman, one sister, Mary Fleming, and twin infant daughters preceded him in death.
The body will be taken from the Burch-Catcott Funeral Home in Birmingham to the family residence this evening where it will remain until Monday noon.
