MRS. MINNIE LORTON
DOUDS.--Mrs. Minnie Lorton of Mt. Sterling, 68, died Sunday evening at the Van Buren county
Memorial hospital at Keosauqua, where she had been a patient since the previous Tuesday. She has been in ill health the past year and since that time has lived with her son, Thomas Lorton, his wife and daughter, near Selma.She had lived in Mt. Sterling all her life and was a member of the Christian church there since her
girlhood.She is survived by three sons, Thomas Lorton of Selma, William Lorton of Bloomfield, and Lawrence Lorton of Wyandotte, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Newcomb and Mrs. Margaret Lewandowski, both of Wyandotte, Mich.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her husband, Jacob Otto Lorton, died in 1935. An infant daughter, Ruth Ione, died in 1921.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist Church at Mt. Sterling, in charge of the Rev. Harold Harryman of Milton. Burial will be at the Wolfe cemetery. The body is at the Pedrick
